Seattle won’t look the same when the team takes the field Opening Day. The Mariners made some major changes. Some players who won’t be on the roster are Robinson Cano, Edwin Diaz and James Paxton. Oh yes, add pitcher Felix Hernandez to that list. Cano and Diaz joined the Mets and Paxton went to the Yankees. Hernandez, a former Cy Young award winner, is now with the Braves. Seattle needs another starter and a quality closer. The Mariners will have an uphill climb this season as they search for a stable, productive lineup. Marco Gonzalez returns as the No. 1 starter in a rotation that is hurting. Key players are outfielders Mitch Haniger amd Mallex Smith and shortstop J. P. Crawford. Expect the Mariners to trade Kyle Seager and Dee Gordon for more youth. Daniel Vogelbach and Austin Nola are two youngsters who may be ready to play. Many customers like our Seattle Mariners sports face masks.
